How to Calculate Twitter ROI

Get to Know Your Social Media Metrics

It doesn't matter which social media platforms you're using to promote your business?-if you're not measuring your results, you're wasting your time!

You need to be tracking things like which posts perform better than others, and which types of content your users like best.

According to Twitter, 336 million people use the platform every month. But early on, I was struggling to see the value of Tweeting. It was hard for me to justify the amount of time and effort I was spending on it, before I understood how to properly market there and calculate Twitter ROI (return on investment).

Yes, I saw many celebrities and big brands joining the platform, and it became an active community to Tweet about politics-Barack Obama even announced he'd won the 2012 presidential election on the platform.

But how could it work for me and my clients?

I see things differently now, and put a lot of effort into marketing on this platform (as you'll see by going to our account. I Tweet a lot)! But that's because I know how to calculate Twitter ROI, so I know what's working and what isn't.

Too many entrepreneurs don't effectively measure their efforts on social media. They also fail to realize how valuable their time is. They'll choose to DIY something to save money instead of hiring an expert to do it for them.

They don't consider the time they spend learning to do the task, the time they waste by not focusing on their business, and the fact that the expert probably could have gotten them far better results.

From my perspective, I see a lot of value in the social networking sites when it comes to visibility, brand enhancing, building relationships and being recognized as an expert in your industry.

But the key is to allocate your time wisely.

Put in enough time to achieve your goals and then move on to other important business-building activities. There's nothing wrong with spending some of your time on social networking, but spending hours a day at it is probably not the best thing for your business or your ROI.

Here's how to focus your time wisely on Twitter metrics:

Set up your goals.

Is it to get people to download a white paper on your website?

To fill out a form for a free consultation?

Only then can you effectively calculate ROI. You need to be able to see what people are doing, like clicking on a link you posted to get to your website.

Part of setting up analytics (Google Analytics or a paid platform) will be creating a tracking token per goal. Most marketers have more than one goal: on the home page it may be to sign up for a newsletter, while on an inside page it may be to download an eBook.

You want to be able to see which actions had which results, rather than ending up with a giant pool of stats you can't make sense of.

There are online tools that let you generate these tracking tokens, or you can hire a professional marketing company to make analyzing metrics much easier on yourself.

Get to know Twitter Analytics.

You'll find stats on everything from audience demographics to engagement rate here. I find some of the best insights here include:

? Tweet engagements and engagement rate. Engagements are the number of interactions a Tweet gets, while the engagement rate is engagements divided by impressions.

? Event and trending topic data. This shows you holidays and trending conversations so you can join in when and where it's relevant.

? Video content performance. According to Hootsuite, Tweets with video attract 10x as much engagement. When you've started Tweeting your video content, you can see how people are interacting with your videos, like if they're watching them to completion. Read 'Why Incorporating Video on Your Twitter Account is Good For Social Marketing'.

Don't forget the hashtags.

Hashtags can be a really effective marketing tool, but many marketers don't understand how to track their ROI.

Not sure what hashtags are? Check out 'A Newbie's Guide to Hashtags on Social Media'.

You can track the number of interactions with your hashtag (how many people like, share, comment or retweet the content) to see how well a particular tag is performing.

It's just one of the ways to see if the time and/or money you're putting into social media is paying off.

Check examples from the BizGalz, a global community of women and the men who support them as they "challenge the world, think big, & make change." During one of their recent Twitter Chats, they've asked people to name their favourite conference using the hashtag #BizGalz so they can easily see who's engaging with the chat.

Keep on tracking.

Depending on the size of your business, it may take some time to uncover viable stats. That's okay! Keep tracking and tweaking as you go along.

It's important not to lose focus on things like how many followers you're gaining or losing over time, how many shares your posts are getting, how certain hashtags are performing and so on.

While it may be a bit more difficult to calculate Twitter ROI than it is to simply see if someone has filled out a form on your site, it's worth it to spend some time focusing your marketing efforts there and getting familiar with your analytics. Chances are, your competitors are!

Find it challenging to find enough time in the day to get your business tasks done, nevermind social media? Or maybe you're just not sure where to even start.

Google AdWords: Are PPC Ads Worth It?

Since Google is the search king, everyone wants to get their site to be right at the top of search results so when their target customers go looking for information relevant to their business, those customers find them first. Paying for Google PPC ads is a great shortcut to search visibility since search engine optimization can take months before you get results - and only if you are utilizing an effective strategy.

As a company that is built around writing and developing high quality, unique online content, our focus is driving increases in traffic and conversion via organic search. However, we understand that PPC advertising has its advantages for those small businesses that can afford to pay to drive traffic.

Here's a quick look at the major benefits and drawbacks to help you decide if they are truly worth it:

Pros

They allow you to target the right customers. You can tailor your Google ads so that they are appearing to the customers you want for your business. You can choose variables like keywords, time zones, and more to help you get the exposure you want with just the right search base. That way, you focus your efforts on the customers who are most likely to want your products, rather than wasting time or money on those who don't.

They give you increased exposure right away. You don't have to wait months for your SEO strategy to start paying off and your page rank to start slowly climbing up. Google Ads are a great way to steadily grow your site (if you have the budget for it) or to give a big boost to a new product launch.

They give you a potential SEO boost. There is some speculation about how much paid ads play into search algorithms, but some marketers suggest that the ads help you to increase the ranking of your site. At the very least, they do drive more traffic to your site, which does improve your ranking.

Cons

They are very expensive. Even if you are targeting keywords with low competition, you will still end up paying a lot of money for your ads. If you are targeting competitive keywords, you will have to pay a lot just to get on the board, but will have to pay even more to rank your ad high enough to get seen. If you are just starting out, Google Ads might be out of your budget - unless you only focus on campaigns that last a day or two.

A lot of trial and error is required. Simply putting up a Google Ad won't result in a flood of traffic. You have to experiment with keywords, bids, headlines, and more to get results from your ad, and that can take some time.
Personally, I never click on Google ads. And as a savvy Internet user, you may be thinking exactly the same. But, the truth is, most people still don't realize that the 'paid' listings on a Google results page are actually ads. In fact, Google makes ONE HUNDRED MILLION DOLLARS per day from search advertising.

Overall, Google Ads are a good investment as they can get your business good results. However, you have to consider all the pros and cons to determine how best to use them for your company. Like most marketing tactics, we recommend you test the waters and find out what works best for your company.

SEO For Beginners: A Basic Search Engine Optimization Tutorial for Highe...

3 Cutting-Edge Blog Directories With FREE Submission That Can Help Your Blog Travel in SEO Space

A good way to get your blog out there in Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Space is to use blog directories. Blog directories are websites which will categorize your blogs under many different categories. Usually the best blog directories are human edited, meaning that each submitted blog is reviewed by a person, not a robot, who will decides whether our blog belongs in their directory or not.

Now not only will blog directories help get your blog to people who are interested in the topic you write about but they will also provide strong back links and can help your posts get ranked in search engines. Also, note that many people search blog directories to research blogs that are similar to their blogs.

Did I hear someone ask "Whats a backlink?

A backlink is a link that one blog site gets from another blog site or static website. Backlinks can make a big impact on a website's ranking in search engine results. This is why they are considered so important for improving a blogs SEO ranking. Search engines will use their own methods to calculate rankings using multiple factors to display search results.

One of the many methods that can help your rankings is to submit your sites to blog and article directories. I am only going to focus on three directories I have recently submitted this blog to. In another post I will talk about article directories and perhaps other blog directories..

I am only listing those sites that I recently submitted to in June of this year and have a easy user-friendly portal. So, check them out for yourself. As I continue with my research I may post about others later after I submit my sites.

Ontoplist

The site is easy to navigate. It does not make you feel like it is a "spammy site"I was quite surprised that the site I listed was indexed so quickly. So I am encouraged to submit more sites.

Blogflux

Blogflux lets you know on the first page that they currently feature 157,056 blogs. So you get excited about adding your blogs to the number. They stress the type of blogs they WILL NOT accept. It is an easy submission process.

Blogarama

Is also stupidly easy to navigate. It has been around for a long time so their is a high level of reliability. Their blog directory tab when clicked does not allow you the opportunity to search the categories. But I they make it easy to contact them. So I will let them know that this boomer is concerned. I am sure it will be corrected.

I used one of my handy forms from the Blog Management System to record the name of the directory, user name and password plus the specific blog I submitted.

If you have other favourite blog directories please share.

4 Marketing Video Editing Mistakes to Avoid Like the Plague

Today it is easier than ever to shoot and edit a video quickly, easily, and sometimes from the comfort of your own home. We have all heard stories about someone in the right place at the right time, or with an exceptionally creative idea, that turned into a viral video and made the video's creator or subject a star over night. While having the right equipment for capturing sounds and images is important, most film experts will tell you that a truly great marketing video is made in the video editing process.

Good editing is part art and part science. Often a video editor must take into account human psychology and attention spans as they are preserving the comedic timing of the video, deleting any unnecessary or awkward pauses, and blends the audio and video into one seamless experience. Here are some of the most common mistakes video marketers make.

1. Poorly Synchronized Audio

One thing that will drive viewers away from your video, and make it appear like a train wreck, is when your audio leads or lags your video by a few slides. For example, you may have seen videos online where the subject in the video is speaking to the camera, but the audio is a split-second late. If this goes on too long, most viewers start looking elsewhere. In addition to losing your audience, this is mistake will also hurt your reputation as a quality video producer.

2. Fluctuations in Volume

You may have noticed in some poorly produced action and war movies, that some scenes are filmed and recorded with the volume at a conversational level, but as soon as some action starts its like the producer turned the volume up to eleven! If your viewers constantly have to adjust their volume while watching your video, this is a problem. Instead, pay attention to the volume levels, and keep them within a relative range, so as not to distract your audience from your true message.

3. Poor Choice of Background Music

When most inexperienced video makers begin thinking about a soundtrack for their video, personal preference often plays too large of a role. Yes, we know that Lady Gaga song is so hot right now, but your audience may not always share the feeling. Instead, you should choose music that supports the feelings and emotions your video conveys.

When choosing music, you also need to pay consideration to any intellectual property laws you may be violating. However, you should not use this as an excuse to leave out the soundtrack altogether. Just make sure you are abiding by all creative commons rules.

4. Videos That Are Too Long

Another mistake rookie video makers often are guilty of is being a little too self-indulgent when it comes to how long they make their videos. Often new video editors feel like their transitions are happening too quickly, or they include things that could easily be inferred from the context of the video. Keep in mind that your audiences' attention span is very fickle and limited. Every second of video shown needs to make maximum impact.

Snapchat for Marketing - A B2B Marketer's Story

"I need another social network for B2B marketing instead of Facebook and LinkedIn" I was thinking. "But I don't have much time to spend hours and days on any new social network that doesn't offer me any value," I said to myself.

I was quite uncertain about using Snapchat for business purpose due to the varying opinions from my acquaintance. But somehow it got my attention and I decided to try it myself.

IN addition, views from Garyvee and HubSpot about Snapchat that "it can be wonderful for B2B" influenced me to take a closer look at Snapchat. And I found myself somehow curious thinking after all what it is all about?

So one day I decided to go for an experiment and determine whether it suits my needs or not.

Starting Hands - On to Snapchat

I used Google and YouTube to fetch every piece of information that I could to get started with snapchat and finally downloaded the app from play store. As I looked into the app icon it flashed me back into the early years of the 21st century when I started using Facebook and everyone around was excited to make new friends and share images and videos.

A thought popped up in my mind - Am I going to follow the same old trend along Snapchat as adults do on Facebook? At first sight, it did not catch my interest. I had a feeling of same old stuff "sharing and posting" that we used to do on Facebook.
I started doing trials of taking pictures with Snapchat, and then I felt like hanging on with this app.

You can make a short video by holding the round-shaped record icon, and one can take a photo by tapping the phone screen. Moreover, you can add graphics, emojis, colors or text and so forth. The hardcore users of Snapchat typically go crazy with geo-filters, double filters, and filters. But I don't like to go crazy and do all these things on Snapchat.

Networking with People

The next phase after the primary hands-on experience was to find out ways to connect with people. Here I had to discover how people will follow me and how am I following back. However, I allowed the app to access my contacts and figure out who is already using Snapchat. Furthermore, I browsed some quick searches over Google on following people on the Snapchat keyword. Consequently, I start following some of my friends and ask some friends to follow me on Snapchat.

The important part of my interest is to see how users find brands on Snapchat. So I picked one of my friends asked him to tell me about brand searching over Snapchat. This is how I managed to add friends and soon built a list of friends.
I added few brands by using their username and started following them.

As much as I was using this app, the more I love it. I dive into the stories of different brands as well as certain friends. By the end of the month, I was enjoying my moments with Snapchat. But apart from all the enjoyment, I was also cautious to stay away from a single bit of addiction with this app. Because I believe the more you spent time in using social media apps, the more it will waste hours of the day and can make you counter-productive.

What's in it for Marketers

As far as marketing is concerned, I do not find this app noteworthy when it comes to effective B2B marketing strategies. For B2C industry, companies like GE (General Electric) and Everlane are breaking through the clutter by exploring the new generation of consumers or shoppers. Snapchat pulls a tiny fraction of dollars as compared to big social media sites such as Facebook and LinkedIn.

But when we look into the B2B industry, business buyers who make transactions in bulk will not be likely to use Snapchat for B2B purchasing and business correspondence. On the other hand, financial transactions of B2B industry comprises of big numbers. However, I have not seen Snapchat make any transaction beyond 26k.

Although, Snapchat adds value to the trends of the video but they are so limited because videos disappear after sometimes. This element brings break-up of Snapchat with many B2B marketers I have observed.

Nevertheless, here are some scenarios where Snapchat can make some sense to B2B marketing. They are mentioned below:

B2B Events:

In B2B industry, many live events can be uploaded on Snapchat such as business meetings, visits, tours, and Tradeshow participations, opening ceremonies of the new plant, product testing in the market, B2B research survey with consumers, media conferences and press releases.

Sharing videos of live business events can spread a positive word of mouth among the target audience.

Reinforce Brand Image

In the similar context, launching a new product or a new brand, sponsoring any sports event, sharing customer feedback or reviews over a product can strengthen your brand among your target market.

You can experiment video with different subjects and lengths by uploading it to the Snapchat. Make sure your product and brand videos as memorable as possible and also aligned with your brand and marketing strategy. The video marketing on Snapchat can play a crucial role in the success of your content marketing.

That's all about my views and assessment over Snapchat.

7 Instagram Story Ideas To Build Your Following

Keeping your Instagram busy is a good way to build your following. An active account is more interesting than an inactive one. Plus, using Instagram to share all types of content with your audience in many forms is going to be much more interesting to them than if you shared only one type.

Let's look at some ideas that you can incorporate into your stories to build your following.

1. Show a Day in the Life

A great use of Instagram stories is to take a day and show up a few different times of the day to share what you're doing as it relates to your audience and your business. For example, if you're a business coach, you might want to share how you run your own business and team with others.

2. Go Live

Take some time to go live each day even to share just one exciting tidbit of news. When you go live randomly, your audience will get notified if they signed up to be notified. They'll pay more attention to you and will even be sad if they miss it live, but they'll also watch the recording if you leave one.

3. Provide a Sneak Peek

Creating a new product or service? Provide a sneak peek about it. Trying out a new software you want to recommend? Do a story about it. The more reasons you can find to show up in stories, the better for your quest to find more followers.

4. Conduct a Poll

Instagram allows you to conduct polls, which is a good way to find out what your audience is thinking. Keep polls short and sweet to avoid any confusion, since these polls aren't very scientific. If you want accurate results, consider keeping choices limited.

5. Trade Instagram Stories for a Day

If you have a colleague that serves a similar or same audience as you do, you can trade Instagrams for a day. You run their stories, and they run yours. This is a wonderful way to get cross-promotion and more followers.

6. Count Down to Launch

If you have a launch or an event coming up, use Instagram stories to do a countdown for the launch. This is a fun way to get everyone excited about your new offer.

7. Use Stickers and Special Effects

Instagram has ways for you to grab your audience's attention; use them. Add special effects, use stickers, add great hashtags. Call out the right people. Make yourself known so that you can grab those followers who like you.

When you do share a story, always remember to include a call to action. Your audience will not act (or only very rarely) if you don't tell them what to do. Each time you make any content, you should know what you want the results to be after your audience views it.

Instagram's popularity continues to rocket as the cameras in smart phones become better at taking high-quality pics and videos. Tips On Branding Your YouTube Channel

YouTube is the best option if you are thinking about leveraging social media marketing in order to grow your business. With its 1.3 billion users, YouTube is hailed as the second most searching website on the internet. Offering you the opportunity to expand your audience significantly and drive organic traffic to your website.

YouTube was considered a wild west of content, it is a place where marketers fight shy of uploading their promotions and commercials, let alone building a branded channel.

There are a lot of brands and companies now that are jumping on the bandwagon. It seems like every corporation and small businesses are already creating a branded channel on YouTube, but there are still few marketers who stuck to what strategies they have been practising with and managed to harvest the full potential of the platform.

If your brand already has a YouTube channel but in need of a little bit of a surgery, or if you are planning to develop one from scratch, then continue reading this article as this one will provide some essential tips and valuable techniques to help you get started.

The Laser Focus

It should be noted that everything on your channel center around one theme if you are going to run a health and fitness channel, your channels and videos should focus on health and fitness, not some beauty tutorials and gadget reviews or travel videos. By focusing on one topic, you brand yourself as an expert in that field.

The Science on YouTube

Take a look at your channel, consider it as a new and exciting laboratory and learning lab. It is important to be workable in your approach to the content and design of the channel. Your first step is to beautify your channel and reserve the idea of acquiring thousands of friends and subscribers right away. Just like a science research, you have to gather insights and see which idea works for your brand, the look and the feel of the channel can be changed, improvised and optimized without an extent investment of time and money.

Using Your Company Logo.

Keeping it consistent with your other branding online is part of branding your YouTube channel and using your company logo for your channel is one way to do the consistency. But if you are branding yourself as an individual rather than a brand, better use your headshot photo than a logo.

Global Domination?

Obviously, you wanted to be goal-oriented during the process and the launch of your channel, but before your finger goes to hit the "upload" button, you must consider the needs and goals of your target audience and keep yourself reminded that web video is distinct medium. Let your goals and objectives drive the techniques you use to create and promote videos. Check out YouTube's advertising channel so you could get a basic overview of what brands can do with the platform.

Description is a must

It is essential to put a description in your videos in order to help people find your videos. But, just make it sure that you leverage keywords and hashtags. Your video's title and description should have the content that tells people what will they expect to find if they are going to watch your video. Including a backlink to your website in the description is also a smart idea to get people off to YouTube and onto your website.

Over-Commitment Issues.

It is strongly advised to consider outsourcing, you probably do not have time to upload contents. You should allow yourself the flexibility to experiment, if you are going to outsource, you might want to consider a specialist who is already set up and could help you implement your strategy. It requires a whole different skill set than web development if you are going to create web videos and knowing how to market those on YouTube.

Your Sites and Social Media.

You can see at the top of your YouTube channel these icons for links. In this case, you can actually include links to your website and social media, it is quite essential to use every opportunity you have to grab people away from YouTube to another one of your branded pages or web pages.

Aside from that, think of your YouTube channel as an extension of your brand as a living thing. You might need someone who is dedicated to tending to that page, build your audience by reaching out to them and by managing your profile.

Broadcast Your Self.

If a viewer visits your channel, you only have one chance to impress them with your content, do not entertain them with some offer or some overwhelming information, you will lose an opportunity because of that. Instead, you should be reel in displaying features, try to broadcast your ideas, show them the most entertaining and best piece of content that you have. Cleverly written and funny commercials? If that's what is needed, so be it.

Menu of Content

YouTube is a search engine for videos. You might want to create some customized content that considers what consumers are searching for or what they need to know about your products or services. Instructional or how-to videos which will show consumers how to use your product are always a good idea to start, but it is also important to consider the value of integrating your product into existing YouTube shows and favorite those videos on your channel.

Make Effective Tweaks.

There's a lot of other actions to do while setting up your YouTube channel or even uploading videos which could maximize the time people spend watching your content. You could remove other ads from appearing on your videos so people won't get annoyed watching your video because of those ads or if you are planning on using overlays, you might want to put your own content and not someone else's.

Enabling auto-play is also another way to hook people into watching more of your videos, it could play your featured video on your channel as soon as someone visits your channel. Subscribers are also interested in what you are doing recently than what they have already seen on your main page, you have the option to make your Feed tab the default page instead of your main channel page so subscribers would get redirected to your main channel page which shows your recent activities

Building a brand online? A branded YouTube channel is always one of the best ways to build one online. Once you have created your social profile on YouTube, you can always upload more videos, as well as the channels you like, are displayed. Creating your channel is an opportunity to magnet people on YouTube to get them to spend more time with you.

7 Ways To Drive User Engagement On Social Media

When you're on social media, you want to get lots of engagement. Having said that, driving engagement can sometimes be a tedious task. But if you understand what you want, you can ensure that it happens by planning for it, using the right systems to ensure it happens, and then learning from it so you can do it more.

1. Develop an Integrated Content Marketing Strategy

You want the content you share on social media to integrate with the content you publish on your blog and website, email, and elsewhere. It should all have a purpose and a reason for being and a goal in mind.

2. Create and Share Content That Is Member Focused

When the content you create and that others have created is focused on what your audience want to know, need to know, and have an interest in, it will keep people interested. It will make them want to check out your blog, open your emails, and participate more because it's about them.

3. Share Video Content to Your Groups

Using video content is also a good way to get more engagement. People are more likely to comment on videos, share videos, and even watch the video over text-based content. This is especially true if the video is short and to the point.

4. Tag People in Posts

When you are sharing someone else's content, or mentioning someone in your content, or think someone would be interested in the content, tag them so that their name shows up to themselves and to others (depending on their privacy settings). This is a great way to get their friends to look too.

5. Schedule Your Content for the Best Times

Using data, determine when the best times and days are to share information with them, and then use scheduling features to share at the time when more people are more likely to see the post.

6. Write Better Headlines to Get Attention

How Facebook Ads Help Local Businesses

How Facebook Ads Help Local Businesses

Advertising on Facebook is beneficial for any business, it helps you get yourself out there and interact with your target market. Moreover, it helps makes establishing a relationship with your customers easier than ever. As for local businesses with local customers in mind, it presents its own particular perks.

Here's What They Are

Geographic Targeting Options

The ultimate goal of any campaign is conversion, and showing up on the feeds of the right people is the best way to do that. When you place an ad on Facebook, they let you modify your targeting to users around your area. Interested users who may have not heard of you make for a great match.

Since these users are actually able to visit your location (provided that info as to your location, store hours, etc. are complete, of course), you're basically leading them right to your door.

You Can Make Use of Events

Got an upcoming sale or giveaway? Home showing? Or maybe you plan on setting up an event that ties with your products/services? These are great ways to promote your brand, and by utilizing Facebook's Events feature and inputting your information, you can actually go and show up on local users' Events feed.

Facebook shows users events based on their location and interests, so there are greater chances that they'll be interested in your event. Also, once they click that "Interested" or "Going" option, Facebook reminds users of the event regularly, so you won't have to worry about them forgetting.

Identification With the Local Culture

One major edge that local businesses have over larger corporations is their identification with locals. From homegrown restaurants to local service shops, local businesses get what the locals (aka their market) are like and what best sways them.

With that, incorporating local idiosyncrasies, like traditions and quirks, food specialties, or even recognizable locals are a great way to create an impression on your target market. It's a great way to make them see that you're not just a business, but that you're one of them.

Helps You Cultivate Your Relationship With Locals

"Local favorites" are referred to as such because they've become a go-to solution that's not only convenient, but well worth it as well. Such establishments and services that have gained the loyalty of their customers should find ways to maintain and encourage that relationship. What better way than with active social media pages, right?

Placing an ad on one of the most widely used social media platforms allows comments, messages, photo tags - all great ways to check in on how your customers are enjoying your business. More importantly, it allows you to actually speak to them in the space where they're most comfortable.

Facebook ads should definitely be a staple in every local business's marketing efforts. Not only does it help you build a relationship with your customers, but helps the relationships flourish as well. Given its importance, placing your Facebook ads needs to a reliable Facebook ads service company is a must. Remember: any campaign is only as good as the people behind it, so much sure you invest in the right team.

Facebook Ads in 2019 | From Facebook Ads Beginner to EXPERT in One Video!

Short Introduction to SEO and Its Best Practices

What is SEO?

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is an Internet marketing strategy that increases the traffic generated into websites by increasing the visibility of the websites in search engines such as Bing and Google. If you can fully utilize search engines in your business, you would experience a growth rate and increase in traffic like never before.

The higher the ranks in SEO, the higher the website ranks in Search Engine Results Page (SERP) and the more traffic is generated to the website. Below are a few research facts to prove how important SEO is:

93% of all traffic to a website comes from a search engine;
67k searches are performed on Google every second;
Having the first position on Google has over 34% of click through rate;
Almost 75% of users do not scroll past the first page in Google;
Nearly 80% of users ignore paid ads in search results;
58% of all searches come from mobile devices.
Those are among a few proven facts and statistics when it comes with SEO. Remember, this industry is always changing so you and your business would need to evolve with it as much as possible. Below are the basic SEO strategies you would need to increase your website rankings:
Keyword optimization

SEO keywords are keywords or phrases in your web content which make it possible for your website to be found through the search engines. You use them according to the niche you're writing on, and anyone who searches certain keywords involving that niche can easily find your website. This way, they help you to direct targeted audience to your website and increase your traffic.

Title tags

Each web content you produce should be tagged in the title. That is, the title, header and sub headers should have at least one keyword related to the niche you're talking about. This makes Google easily locate your article among others when certain keywords are searched. It all starts from the title.

And don't forget to make your title informative and intriguing enough to attract targeted audience.

Meta descriptions

The meta description is an excerpt that summarizes a web pages' content. Meta descriptions are shown when there are keywords related to the site searched for in search engines. This is crucial for on-page SEO and encourages targeted audiences to click through your website.

Engaging content

This is by far the most important thing of them all. What is the point of doing all of the above if the content itself is not interesting? After inviting so many people inside your website, what would they do if the content itself is the problem? Is your call to action strong in its own right? Are your blog posts just random information that does not concern your niche? Are you writing just for the sake of it? Or worse, do you not write at all?

People won't read something if it was unrelated to what they're searching for in the first place. This would just increase your website's bounce rates and reduce your website rankings on Google - which translates into a reduction of your traffic. Make sure that you do adequate research on anything you are going to write on your website, and add the references if necessary. Because if the content itself is lacking, all the work would have been for nothing.

And, if you do not have the time to write, get yourself a content writer to do it for you.
