What are RSS Feeds?

Keeping track of interesting blogs nowadays is becoming increasingly time-consuming because blogs are becoming more numerous in numbers as blogging is rising in popularity. To check out every favorite blog on a daily basis, in a bid to search out for new content, is a task that involves more time than an average 'blogger' is willing to give. Hence, the use of Really Simple Syndication ('RSS') as the solution to this problem.

'RSS' feeds are small 'XML' files containing a headline, date or time, description and link to contents published on a blog. They give an update on the newest information or post(s) that have been added on a blog to a subscriber when they are used along with a feed reader or news 'aggregator'.

These XML files format was developed in different versions with each of them having a different meaning. The term 'RSS' can stand for Really Simple Syndication, 'RDF' site summary or Rich Site Summary depending on the version used.

All the versions provide a summary of information. In other words they perform the same function. The highlight of the post on a blog is sent to subscribers at the instance when they are published. With this the user does not need to visit the sites for updates.

To receive a feed the user must have a feed reader. This reader is also called a news 'aggregator'. This might be a web-based service, a software or extension built into a browser. The XML codes are then translated into readable information by the 'aggregator'. All that the user does is to click on the 'update' button on the feed reader and all the sites he has subscribed to will be searched for new post or contents.

Because it serves as a tool for the audiences to a site to keep abreast of latest information on their favorite blogs, 'RSS' feed greatly increases the traffic to blogs. It is also a way to get update on favourite blogs easily. A subscriber will tend to be involved more with a blog than a site because of the ease in accessing information on blogs. The software also makes it easier to add a link to ones site to another blog.

Step by Step to Advertise on Facebook

How to advertise on Facebook?

Digital entrepreneurship and the growth of new types of consumers have made possible many ways to acquire income online. One of these ways is through Facebook Ads, an important platform for anyone who wants to work with advertising and affiliate programs.
However, unlike many people think, working with the internet requires planning and know-how. So, know more about Facebook Ads.

What are ads on Facebook?

Probably at some point in your browsing through Facebook, you've already seen ads on the screen. These ads are products of the Facebook Ads tool and great way to advertise and invest in marketing.

Facebook Ads makes it possible to advertise ads within the social network platform itself. In addition, Facebook provides several tools for building more effective campaigns.

Ads on Facebook can be targeted according to the user's profile, personal preferences, location, gender, and more. Making it possible for the advertisement to meet the right target audience and potential customers, making it possible to purchase.

Initial Strategies for Using Facebook Ads.

For those who are starting this business, it is important to follow some basic strategies to enable increased sales of their products. Among them, the following stand out:

1. Medium / Low Ticket Products.

Because Facebook is a platform whose main focus is not sales, no one will turn to the social network to buy a specific product. Therefore, purchases made by Facebook occur instantly and impulsively.

For this to occur, it is recommended to offer low ticket products, so that the consumer decides to buy quickly.

2. Include link to sales pages.

An important way to make sales by Facebook Ads more effective is to include the link to the sales page in the ad. By clicking on the advertisement for more information, the consumer will automatically be sent to the sales page, encouraging it.

3. Segmentation of advertising.

An important factor when advertising on Facebook is ensuring that advertising reaches the target audience. Facebook ads offer tools that allow you to target the ad according to demographics, interests, and consumer behaviours.

4. Ad test.

As much as you already have a good campaign, it's important to choose different different types and formats of low-budget ads and test their reach and functionality. According to the results obtained, it is possible to predict and efficiency of the investment and gradually increase it.

5. Pixel optimization.

One of the functions that the pixel has inside the Facebook Ads tool is to perfect your ad for conversions. For example, the pixel code will tell Facebook which people are most likely to access the site's purchase page, forwarding the ad to those people.

6. Wait for results.

The advertiser should keep in mind that even if there is a possibility of same-day purchases, the ads take time to reach good reach, so you have to be patient and wait for the good results.

The possibility of same day sales

As already said, Facebook is a lot of high-reach platform. It is estimated that 95% of its users connect to the network every day. Within that number, half stays for more than half the day online. That means a lot of exposure time to ads.

So if you use the right strategies for targeting and optimizing your ads, you may have a good number of sales in addition to the ad's publication. However, to make this reality feasible, it is necessary to invest in segmentation, increasing the number of sales per click.

How to choose products to advertise on Facebook

It is very common to find digital products for sale on Facebook, however it is not a rule. What are digital products? They are those who are not physically present, and whose goal is to convey some knowledge or solution to the client.

Examples of digital products include online courses, eBooks, webnarios, lectures, seminars, etc. To find good products for advertising on Facebook, whether digital or not, it is recommended to access platforms for affiliate programs and find a good product in the available catalogs.

Advertising concepts on Facebook Ads.

There are several very effective ways to advertise on Facebook. The form of advertising makes all the difference in the moment of reaching the consumer and the realization of the sale.

Make a targeted ad: The more specific, the more interested people will access the ad. Decreasing the number of clicks by curious, and increasing the number of clicks by people really interested in the product.

Indicate scarcity and be objective: In the case of selling services, such as online courses or lectures, phrases that indicate the shortage and need for immediate purchase have a lot of effect, for example "run, limited vacancies" and sentences of the type.

Be objective and go straight to the proposal of what your product offers, maximizing the possibilities of purchase by people really interested.

Enter testimonials that simulate conversations. This type of ad format arouses the consumer's curiosity to read completely, absorbing the entire message in the ad.

So if you want to invest in Facebook ads, know that by applying the right strategies and techniques, it becomes a powerful tool for marketing and advertising your business.

Knowing how to advertise on Facebook, for a digital marketing professional or companies interested in getting a good exposure in the most important social network of the moment, has been a constant concern.

Ads on Facebook or Facebook Ads, as they are also known, are a very high-conversion channel, when used with the proper Facebook Marketing techniques.

Maybe the question is not how to advertise on Facebook, but rather, why advertise on Facebook. The answer is very simple: Because it is undoubtedly one of the largest digital channels today and has been incorporated into the daily lives of people, especially Brazilians. Stick the Landing: How to Design an Effective Landing Page

Tips For a Great Landing Page Design

It’s not that difficult to make an optimized landing page with a high conversion rate. You just have to implement some of the following strategies:

1. Make It Mobile-Friendly

More than half of all internet activity comes from mobile phones. This means that people are consuming media, entertainment, information and news using their Android or Apple smartphones.

If your landing page is not responsive and mobile-friendly, you are losing money with each visitor who lands on your page. It’s paramount to work with a web designer to optimize your landing pages and make them snappy, attractive and easy-to-use on mobile devices.

2. Stick to a Minimalist Design

Overly-cluttered landing pages are not attractive and they tend to confuse the reader.

It’s important to have a few pieces of text to showcase your products/services/skills and the benefits the visitor gets if he works with you. However, don’t try to add too much text or visual elements that distract the internet user from the most important element – the call-to-action button.

Experts in landing pages use a big font, plenty of white space to make the CTA visible and simplistic imagery. A discreet background image that goes well with your landing page can make a big difference in increasing conversion rates, so use one wisely.

3. Implement the CTA Properly

The CTA (call-to-action) button is probably the most important element when it comes to landing page design.

That’s because it helps readers take action and makes them do one of the things you want them to do – request more information, complete a form, request a demo or a quote, etc. A good call-to-action button also encourages visitors to pay for some of the products or services you provide.

Specialists say that this button should be always visible on the page. Your landing page should be short-form so that visitors don’t have to scroll to find the CTA button. If you go for long-form pages, use a floating button that is always visible and can be clicked at any time.

Your CTA button should also contain just one or two words and have an eye-catching color. Most website owners use colors such as orange or blue since these tend to attract the most attention.

Lastly, make sure that your landing page doesn’t give the user more than one option. In other words, it’s not a good idea to have multiple CTA buttons because this creates confusion and the visitor might simply leave the page.

4. Do A/B Testing

A/B testing is a valuable tool and quite easy to use. It refers to the idea of testing 2 variants of the same element to see which one performs better.

For example, you can create 2 headings for your landing page. You run the landing page for 7 days using the “A” heading and 7 days using the “B” heading. If the B heading got more hits, it’s more efficient and you should stick with it.

This process goes for almost every element of your landing page. Create 2 versions for your CTA, your buttons, trust signals, images, etc. Test them separately and see which one stands out from the crowd.

Although this can be a time-consuming process, it’s time spent on improving the quality of your landing page, so it’s totally worth it! Having a more optimized landing page can translate into a greater conversion rate and more profits.

5. Embed Videos

As mentioned at the beginning of this article, video content works great with landing pages.

People are increasingly likely to consume video content, instead of simply reading a piece of text. It’s easier and also helps the visitor know more about you and your brand in a shorter amount of time.

Therefore, if you film yourself talking about your mission, the company you own, the products you sell and the values you believe in, chances are that people would want to do business with you. The video can be hosted on YouTube or another video-sharing website and it should be free to watch.

With that being said, make sure that the video doesn’t start as soon as visitors have landed on your page. This can be annoying for some people. Give them a chance to manually start the video if they want to know you better.

6. Add Trust Signals

This is another common tactic used by professional marketers.

Trust signals consist of elements that showcase your reputation, professionalism, and authorities. For example, you can display a band with the logos of companies you have worked with in the past. This makes the visitor think that you are trustworthy.

You can also post a series of testimonials from the CEOs of companies you have worked with in the past. Obtaining praise from high-value business owners will make your visitors think you’re an authority in the field and they are more likely to do business with you.
